[Oxford63] Zoom Meeting Saturday April 11 when it is noon in Boston

Dear All, I am looking forward to our Zoom reunion on Saturday at high noon. I will probably use Tom’s laptop so I will appear as Tom, but that way I can see your faces.
I am working on a Food memoir for my grandkids with illustrations. Can’t go to my studio so I’m working from home. We had to close our Portland store due to our Gov. Janet Mills’ orders. She has been an awesome leader here. My daughter Eliza is making masks at our little factory.
GrandsonJasper came home from France and his bother Silas  from Canada where he’s attending McGill. They had to self quarantine together but are fine now.
We are getting out to walk every day, Tom biking. I’m pruning my fruit trees and turning over the garden. The birds don’t know anything is wrong!

To fully participate,  enable video and make sure you unmute your microphone (lower left corner  of the Zoom screen) so we can hear you.

Everyone might not be able to make it this week but we can always do it again (during virus quarantine….or even afterwards!)

Requests:
please don’t have a bright window behind you as it it almost impossible to see you as you are thrown in deep shadow
please do NOT choose a virtual background (ocean and waving palm trees, Iceland etc.) while this is temporarily amusing, in it is quite annoying when people move against that background. Trust me, this is true

Hi all from Alaska! I am doing fine, and am still seeing patients who can’t be postponed- like infections and cancer, but working just a few hours a week. I am worried about Jamie who works as a department manager in Walmart- his departments are Paper Goods and Household chemicals. He is inundated everyday and has empty shelves. We still see each other frequently but keep ourselves 2 ski poles or one cow length apart. Would love to zoom and have done some zooming. Only one person can talk at a time- that will be interesting with our class!
