[Oxford63] Hello you all

Hello Susan-
   Not much news from Alaska. I had a nice visit with Courtney and Debby 
Lilly and hubby in Chicago last Oct over a gourmet dinner - great fun. 
Back home I helped keep Sarah in Alaska where we can keep an eye on 
her, and am thrilled that Obama made it to the White House (though I do 
not envy him for the job he has to do).  We had an exciting January 
with 38 below for a few weeks then a sudden "pineapple express" came 
roaring in with 110mph winds and temps in the 50's and rain which 
closed the schools for 3 days because of flooding on top of ice since 
the ground was still rock hard- (Schools are rarely closed for more 
than a day even for blizzards.) The sun is now warm, the daylight is 
increasing by 6 minutes a day and in 5 days we'll start having more sun 
than all of you in the lower 48. Cheri LeBel Hammond and her husband 
Lyn and I are planning to get together for dinner sometime soon.
