From Truchas TU: Governor Bill Richardson to Announce Plans for a NEW State Park on Monday - Pecos

On Monday Governor Bill Richardson will announce a new State Park - the *Pecos
Canyon State Park*.  The announcement will be *Monday, September 29, 2008 at
10:30am at Jamie Koch Day Use Area in Pecos Canyon.**

The Upper Pecos Watershed Association is asking supporters to be there for
this announcement.

Doug Jeffords and other UPWA members will try to be at the UPWA office by
8:30 on Monday to pull together some signs. It will take about 30 minutes to
get to Jamie Koch from thaat office. It will be great to have a big,
supportive crowd for the Gov's announcement.  Some "Thank you, Governor!" ,
"Thank you, State Legislators" and other signs (e.g. "We Support Pecos
Canyon State Park") will make a great touch and will make  the Gov. and the
Legislators feel even better.
