From Truchas TU: June 7th Pecos Cleanup

Don't forget the Pecos River Cleanup this coming Saturday.  There is also a
Fishing Derby starting at 10 am at Cowles Ponds.  If you would like to help
teach kids to cast and other hands-on activities please contact *Gary Moran
at 505-466-3833*


Meet at the UPWA office (the old Frankies) ~ 46 S. Main Street, Pecos

at 8:30 a. m. for coffee & pastries.



River clean up from 9:00 to 12:00.

Free barbeque and prizes for clean up participants at the Jamie Koch
Recreation Area from 12:00 to 2:00.

The U. S. Forest service will be there with goody bags & activities for the
kids!



The Santa Fe Conservation Trust will be there to discuss how landowners can
receive money to protect their land.

The NM department of Game & Fish will have their free fishing day at Cowles
Ponds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with hands-on fishing instruction & prizes

for the kids.



For safety please bring gloves and dress in bright, colorful clothing ~ a
prize will be given for the most colorful outfit! Bring water!
