With Melinda Kassen, Director of Trout Unlimited's Western Water Project

How Water Policies Can Restore Western Rivers
When: Wednesday, September 19 at 7:00pm.
Where: Unitarian Church, 107 West Barcelona Rd, Santa Fe

Melinda will discuss her experiences in promoting environmentally-friendly
water policies in the West. While bad policies are blamed for the
dewatering of Western rivers, including our own Santa Fe River, the right
policies can be the environment's best friend. Finding the elusive balance
between policies that are good for nature, and can still support a growing
economy, is the holy grail of Western water management. Melinda will draw
on her experiences in five Western states (Colorado Idaho, Montana, Utah,
and Wyoming) to inspire our thinking about the Santa Fe River, and what
might be possible here.

This talk is free and open to the public, sponsored by the Santa Fe
Watershed Association. For further information, call 820-1696, or visit our
