Hi everyone. When you get this, please read the message below. If you didn’t get this the other day and answer, please answer now. It was suggested that sending it straight to Oxford 63 with no individuals on there might work better. ❤️

Greetings, everyone.
I am assuming that everyone got the big post card from K-O about the October reunion.  As you can see from Deb’s message thread below, she was not aware of our recent ZOOM.
I like her idea…would you please, ALL OF YOU, send a reply right away when you get this.  A quick hello will do.  Jane and I want to see if everyone on the cybermesa list gets the email.
Leslie got some information about the Essex Steam Train/Boat Ride, which actually looks fun.  More about that very soon….when we see who answers this email.  Thanks everyone. Love, Bonnie

Hmmm .. seems cumbersome for you to have to alert everyone that an oxford63 at cyber-community.com is on its way each time one is sent out.Maybe in the next few days send out a regular oxford63etc email with the note that it is a test email and request that everyone who received it pleasereply so you know that they got it. Then, after a week?, send emails to those who did not reply asking them to check their spam etc. Maybe that way we canget most of us in the clear, and the few (hopefully) who just don't get the emails could be on a list as needing notification thru their personal emails.Does that make sense, or is that more convoluted than just sending everyone an email?
If it comes down to having to notify everyone thru individual emails, might as well just ditch the cyber-community server??? ...  or am I missing something?
Thank you to both of you for working on keeping us connected!
Sending love,💖🌻 Debbie

  Bonnie and Deb -

After some classmates complained that they did not get the Zoom invitation, I had our System Administrator check the mail flow from our actual mail server. The mail went to everyone on the list, though there were issues. I had the wrong address for Lelly. The three Comcast users did not get the invitation because Comcast had "black-listed" mailman.cybermesa.com - the server where our list resides. We did not notice because the actual mail server was not blocked. We contacted Comcast and are in the clear.

The REAL issue seems to be that the messages are stuck in spam traps. Sally (gmail address) found one of the messages in her spam. Since we know the emails are leaving our mail server, it is difficult to know how to alert the list. I could send individual emails to all suggesting that they check spam, and if possible, make a rule that all email from an address containing "oxford63" (or more extensively oxford63 at cyber-community.com) be delivered. Our spam filter has the capability to always accept of always block individual senders.

I have a Gmail account that is almost dormant. I dug around and could not find a way to ensure that email from "oxford63" is always delivered. It's possible that if a message is found in the Spam mailbox and moved to the Inbox, Gmail will retain the information. No way to tell.

Shall I send out individual messages? That's the only solution I can think conjure. I guess there's hope that Gmail will change its spam algorithms, and the problem will solve itself. I did check with a few individuals, and they did receive the invitation - Tina comes to mind.

Hope all goes well otherwise with the two of you.

Hi!  It is so discouraging!  A number of people did not get the email.  Jane is the one who manages the list.  I have copied Jane and we will see what she says about your email address.
Leslie Barlow is looking into boat trips on the Conn River…she just had knee surgery but promises to finish her research soon.  I was then going to email everyone again. I gather that you had not heard that the reunion is in October….apparently, alums asked for it to be in the fall because it is such a pretty timer, and May/earl June is too busy with other things.
The group on the phone suggested all sorts of things.  Maybe going in Oct., but not everyone would go to lunch.  That bothers me a bit as I am assuming we will try to raise some money for Courtney’s scholarship fund.  On the other hand, several said that we could have a reunion anywhere, any time.  There was absolutely no consensus. I am glad Sally sent you the email…I don’t remember the details.
So…I will start bugging Lelly, and then send out another email to see if we can make any progress.
I hope you are well, and enjoying spring.  We have just returned from a true bucket list trip.  Bob wanted to go to Buenos Aires and Rio.  So, we took a cruse from BA to Rio, after spending three days in BA to start.  It was a great trip, despite the heat. 💝 Bonnie

   Hi Bonnie,
I happened to call Sally this past week, and she told me there was a class zoom. I believe it was initiated by you? I just wanted to let you know that I did not get an email about the zoom, so, obviously, I didn't know about it. Would you please check to make sure I am still on the email list? My email is edson4550 at gmail.com.
Sal forwarded me the email that you sent her telling her a little of what was discussed. I agree that we need at least emails going around to figure out a reunion happening. I mean, we can't blow off our 60th!! Did anyone have any ideas of how/where we could gather? I agree that we don't have to do the "official" reunion date. (I confess that I had no idea what it was!)
Thanks, Bonnie, for striving to keep us connected.
Hope all is well with you.
  💖 Debbie
