Dear Claudia, 

Since I have no culinary resources at the Farmington Marriott, I decided to send some Greek bread for the brunch. It's called tsoureki. It looks like cholla, but it's sweet. Anyhow, Parthenon Grocery in the Chicago area should send it out for arrival on Thursday or Friday, in time for the weekend.  Just thought I should warn you!

Directions for those without GPS: 

  

from Hartford: 

  

Pass the University of Hartford (Watkinson School is next to it where Sandy lives) on Bloomfield Avenue and follow it into Bloomfield Center.  Bloomfield Avenue is the same as Route 189. 

  

***Turn left ( or right if coming from Granby) on Route 178 and pass through two lights (one at a Ocean State Job Lot shopping plaza) and the next at Brown St (Maple Avenue is on the left).  Take the next road right called Mountain Avenue.  (but skip the road that leads into the development) - 

  

Go about a half mile, past the back entrance of Duncaster Retirement Center and turn right on Duncaster Road. 

  

++Follow Duncaster Road for one mile.  Our house is marked by a grey mailbox with "75" on it on the left side of the road (right after this is Gun Mill Road - too far).  Turn into the driveway and follow it up the hill to our house.  Go straight to the right of the garage (left of house) and then left into the field to park. 

  

>From West Hartford 

  

Take North Main Street out of West Hartford Center all the way to the end where is curves to the right around CIGNA and MetLife (the old CT General).  The route number is 218.  At the intersection with Rte. 189 (Bloomfield Avenue) turn left and follow 189 into Bloomfield Center.  Turn left on Rte. 178 and drive into Bloomfield Center.  Follow above directions from ***. 

  

  

>From the north (Granby, etc.) 

  

Take Rte. 189 into Bloomfield Center and turn right on Rte. 178.  Follow directions from *** 

  

>From Simsbury 

  

>From Rte. 10, turn onto Rte. 185 and go over the Farmington River on the bridge.  Take 185 over the "mountain" and down until you see Wade's Vegetable Stand.  Turn left just after Wade's at West Street.  Go 1/4 mile and (after sharp right down a hill) make a left on Duncaster Rd.  Follow directions from ++ above. 

  

>From I91 going north 

  

Take exit 35B and go left on Route 218.  Go about 5 miles to the intersection with Rte 189, turn right and drive to Bloomfield Center, then follow directions about ***.

Hi everyone, 


I'm leaving home tomorrow for Massachusetts where I will be for a week before the reunion.  Before I go, I thought I'd send out the latest version of the spread sheet that I have.  It's not much different from the last, but at least you'll all have the latest. 


I'll still be checking email and will be able to update the spread sheet if necessary, so if there are any changes that should be made, let me know. 


I'm amazed that June 8 is almost here.  See you all sooooooooooooooo  sooooooooooooooooooon!
