  Subject: [Oxford63] Explanation

A thank you to Rena for the explanation. It was hard to believe such a fabulous achievement would have been overlooked. I am sure no other class has ever had 100% participation to honor a classmate but then again how many other classes have had a Courtney plus a Rena and Anne to make this happen?
Back to the other thing about emails. I think we just have to use some common sense. When my mother died in 1993 and I could not bear to go to Hartford one more time and thus missed our reunion, it would have been nice to hear from classmates who knew her when we were at Oxford. Life cycle events such as weddings, births, divorces, deaths are meaningful and should be shared. On the other hand, personal emails need not go to the group. We all press that send button too quickly and mistakes do happen.
If any of you in the Northeast wants to get away from the heat, come to Atlanta. It is cooler!
  Barbara
